How To Overcome Blogger’s Block

Producing regular content is important for any blogger. The only way to tell the world that you’re serious is to show them day after day. But putting up new posts every day can become a burden. It puts pressure on the writer, and pressure often leads to writer’s block. Or, in our case, blogger’s block. Thankfully, there are many ways to break through that frustration and start churning out quality posts again. Here are a few tips from a blogging veteran.

1. Go read a book

It might seem like wasting time, since time spent reading is time not spent writing. But reading can be an illuminating and inspiring experience. Books are written in an completely different format than articles and blog posts, so it is a big change from the stuff you’d read while browsing the internet. Most importantly, reading a book is a deliberate act, and a deliberate distraction. That works better than the casual distraction of web browsing.

What type of book you read is up to you. Fiction works for some, since it allows them to completely escape the world. When they return they feel refreshed and ready to tackle a new topic. For others, non-fiction can inspire and inflame a new passion. It’s also more practical for developing ideas for non-fiction blogs.

2. Do the dishes

This is a bit of advice that doesn’t make its rounds nearly often enough. While reading a book can inspire, doing household chores is completely dull. No one really likes doing them, and will do anything to escape the monotony of doing dishes, sweeping, or vacuuming. Yet that yearning to escape leads our minds to wander, and wandering minds can find new ideas.

Best of all, it looks good to your roommate/parents/significant other. Is there anything better than not only getting your own blog post done, but making someone happy at the same time?

3. Exercise

When asked for his best business productivity tip, Sir Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin empire, responded with one word: exercise. Exercise is unequivocally good for the body, but it can also be good for the mind. It’s actually the opposite of household chores. During household chores we yearn for an escape. Exercise is, of itself, an escape.

During exercise we can think about nothing and everything all at once. It creates a flux of thought. It also pumps fresh, oxygen-rich blood throughout the body, including the brain. The increased circulation can get the gears turning. You wouldn’t believe how many ideas can come to mind during a long run, even when not thinking of anything in particular.

4. Change the setting

Sometimes blogger’s block is a product of the environment. We typically blog from comfort zones. Some do it in front of their desks, some on the couch, and some in their favorite easy chairs. But sometimes that can dull the senses. In order to inspire something new we need to reach for new settings. For bloggers this is an easy one.

With laptops we can go to coffee shops and plug right in. With tablets it’s even easier. I’ve been using my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 to blog while waiting on line, while sitting on park benches, and while riding on trains and busses. It makes a huge difference. Seeing new things inspires new thoughts. This might be the single best way to come up with new ideas.

The overall key to overcoming blogger’s block is change. Sitting in front of your computer and surfing the internet does nothing. The longer you sit, the more time you waste, and the further you get from your goals. By changing things up, by getting your mind in a different mode, you can stimulate new ideas and make sure your blog is the best it can be.

As a member of the blogosphere, you’re obligated to let people know who you are, along with your expertise and authority. But authorship goes much deeper than contact information; I believe it to be a measure of your activity in regards to open communication and interaction with your communities. And this can be anything from Facebook and Twitter to Google + and Foursquare.

Obviously, when you register a domain, you’re obligated to submit some sort of e-mail address and basic contact information that gives fans or fellow webmasters an opportunity to contact you. Since private registration has almost become a way of life for most bloggers, it’s almost an obligation to explore the more popular social venues like Facebook and Twitter.

Both let authors provide status updates and tweets about their posts, events, promotions, guest submission and frequently asked questions. Likewise, they are great for answering more personal questions and permitting guest authors to perhaps share some of their own stories. In fact, engagement is very much measurable with third party tools like Hootsuite. Facebook actually has it’s own analytics system called “insights,” which provides users with metrics about their content (i.e. likes, visitors, etc…).

Not only are these tools great gateways for open communication and engagement, but they’re certainly a great way to deliver content as well. Let’s face it, some bloggers have even resorted to simply posting status updates instead of posts. So now instead of regularly posting important information on topics that are of interest or perhaps relate directly to your product or service, you can do so on Facebook. Twitter is a little more complimentary and should be treated as a means for delivering actual blog post links to fans and followers.

And your “followers” or subscribers don’t necessarily have to be fans. For instance, there are a large number of people who follow large organizations like the U.N. (United Nations) and The Clinton Global Initiative (President Clinton and Doug Band). They may be interest in the news they have to offer, but may not agree with all of there standpoints and actions. Yet, it’s still important for these people to interact and share their opinions.

In my opinion, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+ are all common portals through which authorship can be exemplified. As these communities continue to grow, so does a reliance on search and decision making in regards to social connection. In other words, people are basing opinions, comparing interest and choosing products based on engagement, which is at the very root of authorship.

Whether they’re acting as a simple substitute to e-mail, or perhaps supplementary to it, they’re worth the time and effort and should be explored by all members of the blogsophere.

Do you want to have more people reading your blog? Though most blog writers would want to have an increase in blog readers, many are not sure how to achieve the readership levels they desire. The following tips will help you attract more readers to your blog at no cost. Once you get familiar with these tips, they will become integrated into your blogging routine and your blog readership will increase within no time.

Write keyword driven content

Your content should be well written and easy to read. You need to focus on creating content which is based on the main keywords that people use to search for information on the particular topic. Search engine optimized writing will help you to significantly increase your blog readership.

Participate in blog carnivals

Blog carnivals are usually hosted in one blog. They include links to many other blog posts that fall within a particular topic. You need to participate in blog carnivals frequently so as to popularize your own blog among writers and readers alike. This has been an effective way of attracting more readers to my blog which features ediet coupons and weight watchers discounts.

Comment in related blogs

Identify blogs that are somewhat related to your blog and read the articles that have been posted there. When you write strong comments in related blogs and leave a link back to your site or blog, you will attract more blog readers since people will want to know what more you have to offer on the subject matter.

Use the comments section to facilitate conversation

Ask your readers for their opinions regarding a specific topic. Respond to as many comments as you can. Frequent interaction with your readers will increase their chances of returning. They are also more likely to tell others about your blog. This will result in more blog readers.

If you apply these four tips, then increasing your blog readership will not be a difficult task. All you need is the ability to engage with the industry or niche that you are blogging about. As you become more authoritative and credible, you will find yourself attracting an increasing number of readers.

Author Bio

Charles Mburugu often writes about internet marketing and e-Commerce. He also blogs about coupon deals at discount blogs that share weight watchers discounts and ediet coupons. He is currently writing for a coupon site that offers weight watchers promo and ediets online promo code.

Thankfully with the rate at which technology is advancing, modern mobile broadband can keep you in the loop even when you’re not at home. Check out these five ways that you can mobilize your blog and still send and receive updates, no matter where you are.
There’s An App for That

If you’re an active blogger about your own life experiences, chances are there have been moments you’ve wanted to capture but couldn’t. With smartphones gracing nearly every hip in America, there’s no reason why you can’t capture these moments with the many apps available. Don’t believe me? Check out these apps to help you bring your life together.

Evernote – An application that lets you write or speak notes, capture web pages, or even snapshots that are stored in your virtual notebooks. These can then be synced with your Evernote desktop application for easy blogging when you get home.
Feedly – If your blog hinges on discussing news, then having an RSS reader to get it as it comes to you is absolutely imperative. Feedly is one of the best RSS readers for both iOS and Android devices.
Kyte Producer – Are you a video blogger? Kyte producer lets you capture moments wherever you are and then upload them to any social network, including your own personal Kyte channel as well as your blog.
Blogging On the Go

Of course the ability to manage your blog while you’re on the go is one of the best ways to keep your site mobile. The WordPress app for both iOS and Android makes managing any WordPress blog just as easy as if you had a laptop or desktop in front of you. You’ll be able to manage your analytics, make new posts that include pictures and video, as well as comment on any articles your guests may have commented on themselves.

Of course, there are other apps for other blogging platforms, including Blogger and SquareSpace. No matter what platform you use to publish, having the mobile counterpart available on your phone will allow you to update while on the move.
Tethering Your Phone

If you carry more devices with you than just your phone, it is possible to use your phone as a mobile broadband modem so that you can access the internet using your larger device. The only downside to this practice is that you’ll need to pay out additional fees on your wireless plan, even if you have unlimited data. Large mobile carriers are beginning to crack down on people using illegal tethering, so tethering without the appropriate plan will usually land you in hot water with your carrier as it breaks the terms of your contract.
Staying Secure

While saving money by using open WiFi networks may be your habit, you might want to reconsider. Since the data network is open, you have no idea who may be packet sniffing and retrieving any data that you’re sending. For that reason, it’s best to only browse the internet on sites that you don’t mind others knowing you browse and save all your sensitive data such as internet banking, blogging, and checking your email on your carrier’s own plan. This way you can avoid potentially having your personal information stolen and used.
The Backup Plan

Of course the main reason using your phone’s data plan is beneficial is that it goes with you no matter where you are. Even if you’re at home and your internet is on the fritz, you can still have web access through your mobile data plan. By having important services that you use frequently on your phone, such as Facebook, Twitter, and access to your WordPress blog, you’re never really off the grid and can manage your blog with ease.

Overall, these are great ways to keep yourself attached to your blog as you’re out and about, but remember respecting your mobile visitors is highly important as well. Having a mobile version of your website that loads properly in all mobile browsers can go a long way in keeping those crucial mobile users that may abandon your site entirely if it doesn’t load quickly and produce easy to read content.

The digital world we live in offers plenty of opportunities for making money online. One of the most lucrative opportunities available is through blogging, which some users have become so successful doing that they have even made a living out of it. With so many good blogs out there, the competition for creating a blog that can actually be worth something is pretty stiff. This means that writers have to be extra creative in coming up with an idea that will draw the attention of a large audience while also ensuring that they keep coming back for more. One of the most important blog tips to remember is that you must be patient and have faith in your idea before you move on in an attempt to get money from blogging. Although this may be the most important rule, there are several other blog tips to consider when you want to learn how to earn money from blogging.

Develop a Creative Idea

One of the hardest parts about actually writing a blog is coming up with a great idea to write about. Your idea not only has to be highly interesting and unique, but it also has to be something that could maintain interest for continuous posts. For example, writing about your love for Elvis Presley’s music may be pretty interesting at first, but it’s not the kind of subject that will keep your readers coming back. Think about a unique quality you have that you could talk for hours about. Perhaps, it could be something like “A Day in the Life of a Cancer Survivor” or “My 100 Pound Weight Loss Experiment.” Ideas like these are unique, yet relate-able at the same time, and will keep readers coming back for more, which will increase your money making potential.

Generate Loyal Followers

You should never jump right into buying advertisements before you have even given ad companies a reason to want to advertise with you. Most ad companies base their pricing on the amount of page views you have in the thousands. For example, it’s based on a set rate for 1,000 page views, a higher set rate for 2,000 page views, and so on. By proving to both yourself and the ad companies that your idea appeals to people on a large scale, you increase its value and, therefore, increase the amount of companies who will want to advertise on your website. One good way to keep followers coming back is by making your blog more interactive. For example, create “comment competitions” and highlight some especially interesting readers so the relationship becomes more of a give-and-take type.

Add Google AdSense

You will want to use your own personal discretion to decide when the right time is to post ads on your blog; however, when the time comes, you will want to make these ads as subtle as possible. The program will set you up with advertisements that are relative to your subject and pay you just to have them on there. Just by signing up with this program, you could be generating a lot more money each month without hardly having to do anything. Of course, you will want to make sure that you include enough ads to earn a legitimate profit, but not quite so much that you overwhelm or annoy your readers. Pay extra attention to how these ads will look on your website.

Create E-Books

With the introduction of e-books, essentially anyone can write and publish their own book without even needing a publisher. You can promote your own e-book on your blog– either on the subject of how to blog successfully or something related to the subject of your blog itself– and this can encourage sales and help you generate more income. This concept can usually be the most lucrative because it doesn’t necessarily require your readers to consistently come back to your blog. They may just be browsing the Internet, stumble upon your blog and purchase your book to find out more in their own time.

Sign-Up With Pay-Per-Post Companies

If you blog on a daily basis, it would certainly be worth looking into pay-per-post companies, which (as the name suggests) pay you a set rate for each post created. These companies will usually pay you to write about their services and/or products. These companies will also take traffic to your blog into consideration and usually require bloggers to be active for at least a month before signing up. Different companies have different qualifications for bloggers that may be based on the number of visitors you have per week, a specific number of posts, and so on. Despite the sometimes high standards of these companies, some can pay an upwards of $1,000 per post. However, new and inexperienced bloggers should expect to earn a bit less than this figure, but about $10-20 per post isn’t so bad either. To sign up for these networks, CLICK HERE.

We strive for gaining more online visibility and to drive traffic to our blogs. Search engine contributes organic traffic while social networking sites direct referral traffic. Sharing your new articles on social media is essential for maximum exposure and marketing.

We can imagine avalanche effect of social media when it drives server breaking traffic. Vote after vote brings your story on front page. Core benefits of sharing your article on social networking are;

It’s a way to increase traffic,

Gives an opportunity to introduce your product/blog to a whole new stream of traffic,

Greatly helps in monetization of blog/site to at least run its domain and hosting cost.

You are increasing the chances of faster indexation of your articles as all social networking sites pointing to your site.

Manual submission takes time and may be some time you forget to do it. What if we automate article submission process to our favorite social networking sites without wasting time or outsourcing it? A blogger should work smart to get more time from 24 hours day.

In this article, whole process of automating the submission process is discussed to work smart.

Requirements:-

A website/blog with RSS feed enabled,

A free account on ping.fm and twitterfeed.com.

How it works:-

RSS feed notifies Twitterfeed regarding any update in blog

Twitterfeed forward this information to ping.fm where a long list of famous social networks is given to automate the posting procedure.

Step 1:

Create an account on twitterfeed as this is the first step of this procedure. Enter the information and RSS feed URL of your blog to receive updates. Here you will see “Test RSS Feed” button which is required to validate the RSS Feed URL. If you have entered correct address of your blogs’ feed, You will get Check mark sign which confirms that feed URL is valid.

Step 2:

In this step, you will see few social networking sites which can be configured here but we will use Ping.fm service which offers comprehensive list of of social networking sites. Select it and you will see new screen with some input fields. Key is needed to be entered which can be obtained by clicking the ping.fm application key. Copy the whole key, paste it in text field box and press get available methods. Note. If you have attached the account to any service, your key will get successfully entered. Phase one of automating the submission process has been completed successfully.

This is the step where you need to define and configure your favorite social networks to receive automatic updates. Register an account on ping.fm and add the famous social networks of your choice.

You are done. Now every time you publish a new article, it will be posted automatically to all social networks of your choice.

Posting frequency for a blog plays a vital role in driving traffic, though there is a saying in the blogosphere that “Content is King”. I am in favor of this statement but keep in mind that without consistent blogging don’t ever think of high volume traffic. Let’s make it clear with the help from an example.

Suppose you are sitting in front of a TV and waiting for your favorite program. After some time, you come to find out that it is a re-telecast or a scheduled program from some other day. What would be your reaction? An old or outdated episode disappointed you?

Same is the case with blogging, your readers come to read fresh content but when they see same old stuff they get disappointed. It’s better to have a posting frequency so that they could know when your blog will be updated with fresh content.

Am I supposed to frequently update the content?

Well that’s a question worth asking. You need to concentrate on the example of the TV program in context to your blog. Maybe the broadcasting frequency of that TV program is twice or three times a week, but every time there is a new episode. Same is the case here, develop a frequency and strictly follow it to refresh your blog. Regular posting shows that you are serious about blogging as readers come back daily to check your new posts. You cannot be successful if you do not go by this rule.

Ok, I have opted a frequency to refresh the content of my blog!

Visitors are in expectation of new content and they are simply disappointed if they face the same old stuff every time they visit. You are creating an interest in your audience by serving them with fresh content. Remember, retaining your readership is much more difficult as compared to attracting new visitors. Focus on your loyal readers and target your potential readers by promoting your content.

Is it Matter of Dedication and Grip Over Subject?

Look, if You are updating your content on regular basis, this clearly shows that you have command over a topic to write more and more. It’s also a matter of dedication that you are spending time to write and add some value for your readers. Both are important indicators to show a blogger’s attitude towards his commitment.

If I am fan of a blog but when ever I visit and find obsolete content, I will un-subscribe from its readership because I have perception that the blogger is not committed and treating it like personal blog. He is lacking in ideas to write. So its better to show your commitment to those that are committed to you as a reader.

Does it mean I shall post more than once daily to show, I am a committed blogger?

It depends. If you have news blog, you may post as many as you can to cover the hot stories, but if you have blog like us, it’s better to post single article per day. As per Seth Godin

“RSS fatigue is already setting in. While multiple posts get you more traffic, they also make it easy to lose loyal readers”.

It’s pertinent to mention here that excessive posting results in poor quality content. I will quote the example of viperchill, who posts few but content is of very high quality which keeps his community engaged.

What About Consistency?

If you start posting too many articles, it would be difficult for your readers to digest it. Plus you have little time to promote it. Keep a balance in posting frequency so that you have enough time to promote it. Its much better to opt such frequency which can be easily be retained later. Most of the new bloggers are very excited and post several articles per day, but as time passes they can’t sustain their posting frequency.

Develop a schedule for posting new content and try to follow it. Say we update our blog on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Now we have one day to research and write to post next day and two days of weekend to do other miscellaneous work. Normally, weekend days are not considered good for traffic. So post your article on other days of a week for full exposure. When you successfully developed and followed posting schedule, now increase it from three times a week.

This is a blogging strategy to move towards success. It’s over to you. You need to ask some questions from you.

Do you follow any posting frequency and have you noticed increase in traffic?

Have you observed that you engaged your community more effectively?

Comment on it and on your blogging strategy to share your experience.

Please participate in poll for results on posting frequency

Note: There is a poll embedded within this post, please visit the site to participate in this post's poll.

Blogging is all about writing great content, patience and networking. If you lack in anyone of these factors you are putting your blog’s survival at stake. Blog creation and running is not a big deal, but what about long term results? Are you sure your blog will exist for just first six months? I don’t think blogging for very first six months is an easy job due to;

Lack of patience & hard work

We have lot of expectations,

We think that traffic will automatically come,

Our stats will touch high numbers and even will beat big names in industry,

We also think that we will have lot of comments and will receive uncountable guest posts to publish.

We will start earning a huge amount of money.

I was thinking about some survey or poll that can show us the number of bloggers and their blogging time period since they are blogging. For more detailed and accurate results, we need a large readership so that we have a trend in blogging time period. I searched for net and landed on Problogger’s blog.

He already conducted the survey via creating a poll and exactly fulfills our need of having large audience. I participated in poll and viewed the results. Results were highly skewed towards blog failure ratio. Bloggers blogging from 3 months and from 3-6 months attracted the attention. (Please note that we are considering “Less than 3 months” figure as base for our analysis)

Survey Link

Only 40% of bloggers continued blogging till 3rd to 6th month and 25% continued blogging till 9th month. Results are very interesting when you further interpret it. Only 21% of bloggers continued blogging till first year.

What does all this stats means? It is crystal clear that a newbie is very energetic when he starts blogging, but within first three months they lose their hope and quit blogging.

These results are evident of this cruel truth. Survival for first six months and then continuing requires true dedication. Now question is how we can prepare ourselves for the first six months of blogging to survive? What are the steps and initiative that will make us champ in this time period?

Motivate Yourself

First rule is to motivate yourself. Your thoughts, thinking and your attitude towards blogging are very important. You need to have a lot of patience and courage to face the first six months of your blogging journey. Daily traffic stats and no comments will discourage you, but keep in mind every blogger starts with zero.

Train yourself; prepare your mind to face these expected situations and promise yourself not to give up. If you do all these things, you will find yourself much motivated and situation will turn in your favor.

Develop a Writing Routine

People like to visit such sites whose content is refreshed on daily or at least on regular basis. If you are unable to write on daily basis, set posting schedule for you and strictly follow it.

Updating your blog on regular interval is much better than non regular or more frequent posting. Your readers will get used to your sites’ updating frequency. Too much posting will also kill your blog. Because later on you will not be able to continue this tempo due to work load and will start losing your readership. Find out your productive working hours to maximum the output in possible less time. Be smart.

Killer Content

Blogging is not a simple writing job. You need to attract people to read your blog. They are loyal readers of big names in your niche. Regular stuff will not attract them. You need to brainstorm and produce unique ideas for your content. Such idea/article that is never published will force the visitors to become your site reader.

Optimize Your Every Post for SEO

Don’t underestimate the power of generic traffic. They are cheap and easy to get just with a little know how of basic Search engine optimization. You need to include every post in search engine indexation. Avoid black hat SEO, use white hat SEO tricks for long lasting results and learn from big SEO Company’s mistake.

Write for Your Readers

Don’t make your blog an operational or technical manual of a product. No one will like your blog and will let it to die naturally. People want to share their views by participating in your blog’s community. Technical jargons and stuff is totally useless.

Blogs are also not meant for search engine. If you are only targeting search engine, rest assure bots, crawlers and spiders would be your best friends for all time and all of they don’t comment.

Write your content for humans, so that they can digest and discuss it online. More your readers are involved in your blog, more your blog’s buzz will spread around.

Engage Your Readers

Have you noticed, tech and gadget blogs don’t have comments or very few comments if we compare to the blogs that are non tech. Reason is they are aimed to give you latest news and development for the products.

All you need to engage your readers by opting in various techniques,

Held a contest,

Encourage them to participate in Polls,

Provide a platform to discuss the issues,

Ask questions etc.

Held some interesting quiz,

Networking

Networking within your niche will considerably boost your motivation and traffic. Remember, no man is an island. You have to have strong social networking with bloggers, readers and commentators.

You have an easy opportunity to have good social networking with your commentators. Top commentator widget will help you to reward your commentators. Announce top five commentators in a post to encourage them.

Stumbleupon, Reddit, Digg are treasures of traffic. Participate in communities; exchange of e-mail ids will greatly help you. Don’t forget to guest post on high traffic blog within your niche.

These are steps and initiatives that will take you out of tough period of blogging career. If you have more ideas to share, please come up and share your views.

All of my projects are hosted on a HostGator shared server and I never observed any down time. So I highly recommend their services for your blog/site.

Every second a new blog is created and added in the list of blogs. A sudden question arises about survival of these blogs. If blog creation rate is too high then there should be overwhelming number of blogs on internet. Fact is, most of them are unable to survive their existence. They lack various things which are crucial for blog survival.

Read Do You Love Your Blog?

Have you ever studies the survival of Ants in such a world where living environment is tough for them. Due to their size their survival should be a question mark but they have abilities that make them to survive for long time until they naturally die.

What are the things to learn to learn from them that might help us in survival of blogs? We need to explore and find out the factors responsible for survival. Let’s explore & discuss these factors in blogging perspective.

Hardworking

Do you know ants can lift weight up to 20 times of its own? They don’t sleep though they take power naps throughout the day. This level of hard work with commitment enabled them to survive for such long time period. They don’t compromise on work. Doesn’t matter what is working environment, what is atmosphere, what is temperature over earth. They only know one thing; they have to work in all conditions.

Blogging is not an easy job. It is full of stress and needs hard work with dedication. Writing and publishing articles on daily basis is not Childs’ play. If you are already following this routine don’t think so that you have done very well. Keep in mind this is routine work in blogging career. There are other factors which need to be done along with content creation.

You are also required to brainstorm and write pillar articles. You need specific environment to write. You need to find out your productive working hours. If content production was so easy, everyone would be involved in this work and everyone’s blog would be a successful one. It’s better to have a pen and pocket size draft pad every time to note down the idea or theme when splashed during routine life.

Never Give Up

I think I am not supposed to produce the Ant’s story of Try, Try and try again. They never give up rather they perform that activity till they complete that task.

This is the core point that makes a blogger successful one. Patience with never give up attitude leads to guaranteed success; doesn’t matter sooner or later. Your site is not attracting the traffic, don’t worry. Continue hard work in right direction and you will succeed one day. Some take six months; some require one-two years to be a successful. Just concentrate on writing and polishing your writing skills. When you feel you are exhausted due to no traffic specially and some other reason generally, take a break of one week and enjoy this time. Go with your friends, watch movies and visit amusement parks. You will feel fresh and when you return to your blogging life, you will be recharged with new enthusiasm because you decided to put more efforts and not to give up. Even we do feel exhausted some time and immediately start performing other tasks that are our favorite to eliminate the exhaustion element at once.

This is a technique to get rid of this feeling at initial stage. Don’t force yourself to work when you feel fatigue or you will be advanced to next stage which is not desired at all and is responsible for 99% of blogging failure cases.

Networking & Socialization

Ants work in a community that is called colony. Every ant has its own community. They do know each other and can trace each other by way of leaving some signals like smell etc. They are unknowingly following the quotation “No Man is an Island”.

Same is the situation with bloggers. We need to work in a community and promote one others’ work. Like of a newbie become easy if he has support of a problogger or of an established community. Use various social networking sites to create contacts. Twitter and facebook are on top of them. Other famous social networking sites are Digg, Stumbleupon, Reddit etc. Join and participate in forums. You would have great opportunity if you can help anyone.

Make a strong relationship with your fellow bloggers, communicate with them via e-mail. Promote their work and they will reciprocate it.

Save for Winter

Winter is the season in which ants can’t survive if they don’t go underground. Then how do they fulfill their and others eating need? Answer is very simple. They store food for the situation when they can’t go for daily work and being underground is beneficial for them. What is the lesson for us?

Which season is winter for bloggers? A situation when we can’t write and publish is winters’ season for bloggers. Such situation can arise due to some emergency or when we need to go for a break or when we are going for refreshment.

Keep some articles in your inventory to manage such situations and to continue your posting frequency. Schedule your articles when you are going away and use the time stamp feature of WordPress to automatically get it published in scheduled dates.

Specialization

What this word specialization has to do with ants? Do ants specialize in some work? Different type of ants within same community, perform different assignments and are given names based on their nature of work. Fire ants, army ants, leaf cutter ants are some of their well known types.

This is the main point which we need to focus. A blogger can’t be expert in all areas like designing, dealing with web hosting problems, content writing, and content promotion. It’s better to have a blogging partner, if budget is tight. Probloggers have special team for web site designing and its maintenance, server related issues, content writing and proof reading and specially marketing team.
