Do You Love Your Blog?

by Bobby Jay

love your blogI am father of a baby boy who born on 16th Feb 2010. He is almost two months old. He needs a lot of care, attention, company and proper look after. He cries for feed from time to time and even at mid night. In mid night when I and my wife perform routine work, get tired and when we are striving for deep sleep, our baby calls for company or for feed. He starts crying and awakes us from deep sleep. But we happily face and bear all these things. Do you know why, because we love our baby, we love our small angel. Without him there is no charm in life. In this age he needs our attention, our ultimate love.

Why I started this post in this way? Because I want to ask something from you, a reality. Do you love your Blog? If you are following all the point stated below, then you love your blog. Above real life example is evident that if we love something thing passionately, success is ultimate. If you love your mission your mission would be successful in end.

Now apply this same example on blogging. We blog and do everything for our blog success. We market our, blog, posts and use social networking to spread our post among all. But still we don’t love our blog. We lose heart if the results are not as per our requirement. Our blogs stats disheart us and we ignore the fact that our blog is so small to do big things. Let it to grow up. Why this is so, because we don’t love our blog.

How to Love Your Blog:-

First of all there are few things that need to be noted. Never lose heart, never disappoint from your blog, and never give up. Like a small baby, blog needs extensive care, company and attention to grow up. Blogs grow up slowly just like babies and this is major factor of failure for most of bloggers.

Feeding:-

Feed your blog with routine feed and with vitamins of unique posts to keep your blog healthy. You need to timely feed your blog or you will lose your blog due to ir-regular or less feeding. You have to work hard in start, may be 12-18 hours a day for your blog. But remember as your blog grows up, your blog would require fewer efforts.

Medical Treatment:-

You are the best doctor of your blog because it is only you who properly knows what gone wrong with your blog. May be your blog is not gaining proper attention and less traffic. At this time your blog needs supplement of pillar articles along with unique content.

Respect Your Blog:-

If you are paying due respect to your blog, believe me your readers and visitors will also pay more respect to your blog. Give your blog a professional look that is good to see and communicates good message.

Dress It Up:-

Without proper dressing, no one will call your baby a cute baby. Use simple but beautiful theme which is easy to navigate. Don’t use complex, hard to navigate theme. We have one prime example of simple design but most popular blog. TheInfoPreneur is good example of simple design yet busiest blog on the net.

Clean up Your Blog:-

Keep your blog clean and hygienic. Use plugins to optimize database, remove spam comments etc. in this way you are reducing your database size which means you have compact database which is efficient to access.

Your Identity to Blog:-

Most important thing is to give your identity to your blog. Use your twitter account to socialize your posts and share them with large community. Stamp your blog with your writing style, with your thinking style to make it unique among crowd of blogs.

These factors are benchmark for measuring your love with your blog. The degree of your love. Making your blog a successful is a difficult task, but for someone it is normal task because they really love their blog and never disappoint from result  and keep working on it.

You tell me, “Do you love your blog”.

Yes, I definitely love it and I know it requires a LOT of attention so I lose sleep and time for it. I have a new grandchild and how I remember what it’s like to be a new parent.

I’m working daily on my blog to get it up to par and like a new parent, it takes plenty of study and research to be a good one. I can also compare it to the care and upkeep of my dog, Junior. Boy, oh boy – it’s a job I love and wouldn’t trade. Thanks for the tips to help me get there.

Best to you and take care of that little future blogger, maybe ;-) !

Thanks Kissie for your words. Yes i do admit that you are very active on social media which proves that you are up-to-date and have good stuff for your blog.
Its good to hear that you have grandchild. Grandchilds are more lovely and lovely, cuz they refelcts the childhood of your son/daughter.
Blogging is not an easy job and i think every one sacrifice some part of his sleep. Again the same reason , in night hours, we have more concentration to write and work.
Hahahha, thanks for your best wishes for my little sweet baby.

Its really fits the chield analogy. Infact every creations are not less lovely than their own kids. That’s why they are often considered as offspring of creator!

Although comparing owning and running a blog to raising a child is a bit of a stretch, you make some good points, and the analogy works. They do both need “care”. Let’s just hope people can keep their priorities in order! Haha

Ralf, this article was connected with Child Care Analogy to realize that a new blog needs a lot of patience and hard work. Just indulging in site stats will make you to loose heart. So newbies are supposed to apply various tricks for promotion of their blog, otherwise they will have same fate like other new blogs who just appeared in blogosphere but soon ended due to lack of patience and promotion tactics.
Thanks for your liking and will expect your presence in other articles.
