We have added facebook fan page to our blog to spread our posts to every possible corner. Setting up fan page was a fun and it was very easy to create a fan page. I was daily checking the count of my “Fans” on sidebar and was imagining if these numbers increase to a good number of fan in short time. Suddenly, today I felt a change. That change was no in count number but was in “Become a Fan” button.
“Become a fan” has been replaced by facebook to “Like” button. This is a good change as they are already using like button on their comments, advertisement. This is not the single change that facebook has introduced. They are continuously working on the design of site. Before introducing the concept of tabs, facebook was using boxes.
[adsense]They are adding and trimming the features from facebook, just like they have totally eliminated facebook lite version and their URL shortner service fb.me. This thing shows that they are consistently working hard on their site to make it more convenient and popular.
This trend is showing that we should expect addition or deletion of features in future or even some new concept in their site design.

The facebook like change is a well thought out idea, they are effectively increasing their presence on the web. Many blogs and websites are using it on their sites for users to “Like” Their content, facebook increases member activity (even when the member isn’t using their site) and the site owners get a little feedback.
It’s another way for them to increase the use of their site by the online community just like they are trying to do with facebook connect.
