Google Maps are one of best mapping product available in the market. Added feature of Google Street View allows users to see street level photos of cities and villages. Google parades its special vehicals to obtain the images of everything that crosses the lens of its camera, which is mounted on the top of the vehicle.
These pictures are then retouched to give you 360 angle panoramic views of streets and roads. Various shots of same place in different timings are available which appear in a row for viewing purpose. When you place cursor at picture, you will see some square, rectangle or circle to rotate the picture.
Vehicle number plates, people faces, and other privacy related issues are blurred to make them unidentifiable. You might have gone through some funny street view pictures captured by Google.
Street view feature was introduced in 2007 and was stated from its home town, United States which was further expanded to other countries. More countries are in list for street level images until that we have to wait.
This amazing feature has been extended with users’ photo through geo tagging function and when you explore maps you will certainly notice photos and videos already geo tagged which are uploaded by Google map lovers and tagged to relevant location. These photos are uploaded to Panoramio for tagging purpose.
If you notice the Zoom In & Zoom Out slider you will see an icon at above of slider, this is known as Pegman. Interesting feature of pegman is, if you drag it on the map or drop on any geo tagged photo or video Google map will turn into street level viewing mode and will show you that photo or video at your screen uploaded by their owners.

Wow adding photos to Google street is really a cool feature. Previously I have used it but I didn’t know about this feature. Thanks for sharing.
Adding pictures & videos comes handy when we add photo to Google Map fro which they haven’t added street view support. many users are adding their house, college and other memorable places picture to the Google Map.
