OVI Maps, Turn by Turn Drive and Walk Navigation

What is OVI? OVI is Nokias’ brand for its internet services. OVI was primary focused for five services, which were games, map, media, messaging and music. This list is further extended now and OVI is supporting a lot of other features like OVI Maps, Messaging and e-mail etc. They have added latest feature to OVI product line is Nokia Life Tools.

OVI applications can be used from NOKIA smart phone or through PC via OVI suite. A small application is installed on your smart phone and you have to access to OVI store to download mobile applications for your mobile.

OVI suite is an alternate to Nokia Pc Suite and OVI Maps has fully replaced Nokia Maps, with added advanced features.

Taking a step forward, OVI has now launched free navigational support to its Maps. Free drive and walk navigation service is provided on latest OVI maps 3.0. OVI is the first in GPS industry having Drive navigation along with Pedestrian Navigation. Just install latest version of OVI maps and have access to these features of navigational system,

OVi maps have free Maps for more than 70 countries. Like other companies providing Navigational services, you don’t have to buy maps. All maps are free of cost. You only have to Download Map Loader and have access to all maps for free download. Navigational support feature is not ended here; OVI has introduced Voice navigational support as an added feature. Voice support is also available in different languages. Now Nokia owners have decent phone along with all industry standard features.

OVI has provided more than industry standard. Garmin and TOM TOM have now strong competitor who already have 50% and plus mobile phone market share. Garmin is dedicated device for navigation and has voice navigational support, but all Garmin features have a cost tag while OVI is providing these features free of cost. Support is till life time of mobile phone.
