Worthy Twitter People to Follow in The Blogging World

by Bobby Jay

If you are not on twitter, you are losing a great opportunity to market your product virally to a whole new world. Twitter became a standard in less time as compared to other social networking web sites due to its effectiveness and now, no one can even think of marketing without it.

Twitter is itself a wide subject which can’t be covered here. Its countless benefits need a separate post to be covered but here we are not going to discuss benefits of twitter. Then why I am writing this post?

We look and search for information on web, whenever we need it. Like, information on blogging, improving writing skills, make money online, e-coaching, SEO, search engine ranking, personality and blah blah blah.  Google, Yahoo & Bing are the main sources where we find our relevant material.

What if our desired up-to-date information is available under single roof?

What if we can discuss it with a community with counter questions and similar interest?

All of this is possible if we follow best people on twitter. They are worthy bloggers in blogging community and are members of an engaging community full of enthusiasm. By following them, you will become part of their community, no matter if you are new in your niche or a long time veteran.

So, my aim is to provide a rich list of bloggers (with their short introduction as mentioned in their twitter profile or on their blog) who are creative, successful, helpful and dominating their niche. Following them and listening to their tweets will give you rich information in no time. You will find that you have learned a lot in very short time.

Please note that pro-bloggers like Darren Rowse, Yaro Starak, Shoemoney, John Chow are not listed.  Why? Reason is they are already big names in this industry and you should already be following them. If you are not following them, immediately start following them on twitter.  THe ones I have listed will hopefully be new additions to your list.

This list is sorted alphabetically so grading has no meaning plus I will keep this list updating.

Great list!

Over the past few months, I’ve started connecting more with various Bloggers–many of whom are on your list. I’ve read Ann Smarty pretty much everywhere, but mostly at SEJ for quite a while. Ann’s articles / Twitter just rocks.

I’ve also met many on that list through BloggerLuv too–Karen, Kristi, Gail, Nile, Kathy, Wayne, Ileane, Tia, and Justin.

Hm, I’ve probably know of JP the longest, I think I found his blog on a Google search back in November of last year. He was pretty helpful in answering some questions I left on his comment form.

I also found Shout Me Loud through Google, Harsh’s site ranks top 3 for so many blog related searches. :)

I’ve even written a few guest posts for some on your list including Hesham’s Famous Bloggers and Keisha’s We Blog Better.

Well again, there’s some really cool people on your list and I’ll try to connect with the ones I haven’t yet!

Reply

Imran Yousaf September 14, 2010 at 9:30 am

Ann Smarty and Annabel are awesome bloggers. Ann is very humble and co-operative blogger having in-depth knowledge of SEO. Rest are also great people with great community. Keisha, Hesham, Harsh, Tia provide opportunity for guest blogging.

Wow Imran,

This is quite a long list. I see many of my favorite bloggers listed and thank you for including me. If I were a new blogger wondering whose advice to trust but I know what I know now, I would choose Andrew Rondeau, Donna Fontenot, Kristi Hines and Justin Germino.

I don’t read two of those big name bloggers you mentioned in this post because at least one of them has had his followers get banned for gray to black strategies. While there is always the possibility that any actions can backfire, those I recommend would never knowingly advise doing anything shady.

Reply

Imran Yousaf September 15, 2010 at 10:12 am

Gail, it’s nice to see you here. I liked your truthfulness. No doubt that some of Big names are following black, gray strategies to get their business flourished. You may find evidence in one of my recent post about “Increasing twitter follower-ship”. Well, the names you have mentioned are authority and worthy people to follow them and their advices. I had a long conversation with Donna about SEO and found her co-operative and straight forward.
I agree with you, the names you have mentioned will never give any wrong advice.
Thanks Gail for stopping by.
